Prolonged Absence

Well, in my last journal I mentioned that I intended to return to the intertubes... I lied.
Couldn't be bothered resubscribing and couldn't be bothered using dA the hard, cheap way. :p
But anyhow... I'm back at university now and have no MTV and TCM to watch all day, so I have to find something else to amuse and entertain... It's a terrible choice between spending my days/nights online, or actually going to class and studying.
So, I have finally resubbed myself and am planning on venturing here at least once a day... If only to erase all of my darn messages. Sorry about the non-commenting (or even looking at) but I have far too many and really, can't be buggered.

Roomies

I have two American flatmates this year. Usually I get just one, and then a local(ish) one, but I have two this time and it is already terrifying.
"Michigan" as I shall call her, is slightly insane, jibber-jabbers non-stop, and drank like 16 bottles of wine and spirits within the few days she began living here. I keep finding empty bottles in cupboards and drawers. But she seems very nice.
"California" on the other hand hasn't been here since I moved in, so whatever, she's cool though. Very outgoing.

Eventwise...

I was going to go to the Loudon Wainwright III thingy tonight at the San Francisco Bathhouse but alas, I am too cheap. Maybe I will go to ROCK2WGTN instead so I can see Ozzy Osbourne and Kiss... I plan on dressing as the cat.
The Big Day Out was good though, and I got some great photos of the bands on stage... I might put em up one day.

Anywhos, excuse me while I go and investigate the state of the forums...

Phew

Long Break

I haven't been around dA recently... Just the odd comment here and there...
But its summer now and I may return simply to quell my boredom of living in the country... Far away from Starbucks. :(

What have I been doing instead?

First of all I baked some delicious chocolate chip cookies.
Then I mowed the lawns. :#1:
I haven't mowed lawns in a while and was terrified the whole time of being in some tragic lawnmower accident. I didn't lose any limbs but I did find two dead birds under the loquat tree, courtesy of the neighbours cat, Nod, who we claim as our own because he comes and sleeps on our couch.
On the bright side, mowing over the mandarins under our mandarin tree and then a patch of mint, has given me a nice minty citrus aroma. Fabulous!

Getting old. :iconsix-jeff:

My brother turned 25 last week and has since walked around the house complaining that he's getting too old to function and groaning like a ninety year old. Must be that 40 year old mother of two he's been banging.

In other news, I turn 20 in January. To celebrate, I'm going to drag my friends on a camping trip at Waiheke Island, where Tracey can surf and I can do all the wine and beer tours :p
It shall be excellent, despite Sarah labeling herself straight edge these days.

Tricksy

Also my sub runs out in like... Two days. But I'm not going to resubscribe until the very last minute, just for shits and giggles.

Now I'm going to have a shower and try to enjoy my three and a half months of summer boredom :#1:

Updates Schmupdates

University is over for the year... Finished on Friday. Now I have a fortnight until my three exams, which I'm doing everything in my power to fail...

Damn Video Games

Getting hooked on playing my playstation. Barely touched it all year except when I needed to unleash some rage on the hookers in GTA:SA, now suddenly I'm on playstation overload.

My friend convinced me to ruin my life by getting Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts and a bunch of other LONG games that bore me to death but seem to keep sucking me back anyway. Also, Star Wars lego which is a lot of fun...

And... Of all things... Playboy: The Mansion, has taken most of my time.
Mysteriously fun game... I spent 20 hours with only minor, MINOR breaks, playing that game the other day. Healthy.

So, I'm pretty sure I won't get around to doing any studying this month... Might get a sweet playstation tan though :p

Big Day Out

I wasn't planning on going because the only bands/artists I wanted to see in the first line-up was Rage Against The Machine and Bjork... But my brother bought me a ticket already (which he says he will exchange for a bottle of Jim Beam) so I suppose I'm going.

Should be fun. Hopefully some more bands I actually want to see will be added though.

Seriously... Dizzee Rascal? Hilltop farking Hoods? What is this shiat?!
And since when are Grinspoon, third-from-top-of-lineup material? Good lord.

Ha, I just typed lineout instead of lineup. Obviously I am still suffering from the Rugby World Cup loss.

Actually! I had lunch at Starbucks with a bunch of Kangaroos yesterday.
And for all non-NZ/Oz people... The Kangaroos are an Australian Rugby League team.
Oh fark, now I have waltzing Matilda in my head! D:>

Never mind...

I'm off to lose my soul to the ps2 again...

Also, is it bad that I had a nightmare last night, involving Kingdom Hearts, George Clooney, Ayn Rand and Amelia Earhart?
Strange. Very strange.

Experiments... Oooooooooh...

So my social psychology class is making us save the world this semester, but I'm not too excited about it so I've pretty much put off doing anything towards the assignment.

Unfortunately, we have to do a group presentation next week and so I kinda have to start. So I need a bunch of people to answer some questions on recycling and whatever.

Which is where you lovely people come in. :aww:

If you're not too important and busy to answer some questions... Could you possibly answer these when you're free?
Now if you do want to answer but want anonymity, you can note me them. :B
Be honest.

And since I don't expect anyone to answer, lets talk about something else...

I'm dying.

Dying for you all to fill in the questionnaire. D:>
